These two courts are minimally adequate, and yet, that’s good enough for them to be popular in the community. They’re the site of a fun-sounding meet-up the last time I looked, so the worn-out surface and ragged nets aren’t getting the locals down. That’s good because as long as there’s a net and lines and a fence, you can have all the fun you want even on worn-down courts.

It rained in the middle of our set! August rain in LA. Very rare. It rained just enough to make the courts slick but not puddle-y. It felt great gliding around the court. I felt nimble.
