These two lighted courts are pretty scruffy, but good enough for casual play. Sometimes not-that-well-maintained courts are good for beginners, because you can just whack the ball around and not worry about interrupting ultra-serious players. Consider packing a picnic — I wrote in a story for the LA Times that the surrounding park is one of the best places in all of LA to loaf around, relax, and do nothing.
