These four unlighted tennis courts are a haven for afternoon tennis.
On Tuesday and Friday mornings, all courts are reserved for a 50 and older club. You can join them for a nominal monthly fee. When a clearly over-50 friend and I, also not one to be mistaken for a teen, showed up a while ago, however, we got warned that all the courts were taken, period. No mention of a club or nominal fees. Just, these courts are ours and you can’t use any of them.
But that’s how one single person put it; there could be friendlier people who belong to this group, which sounds like it could be a good idea. I just haven’t met those folks yet. The one other time I played here was jolly good fun, so it’s probably a timing thing.
