This is just one unshaded court with overlapping pickleball lines. I would skip these courts and instead check out Whittier-Narrows Tennis Center, which is not free, but I’ll make an exception here because it is a terrific facility, and I feel confident you’ll have a good experience there.
Furthermore — and this is just ’cause I feel bad about panning this poor lonesome South El Monte court, which all it ever wanted to do is let people have fun but then some well-meaning folks ruined it with those overlapping pickball lines — Taco SAAS up the street is mmmm-mmmm good. Another excellent non-tennis alternative is Matilija Lending Library and Bookstore. They are friendly and have a great collection.
