Two courts with a green-on-green surface, chipped in a few places but certainly playable. If you’re driving, follow the road east of the steep staircase to park, or hump up the stairs if you want to get some leg work in before you play. The courts are shaded by elegant tea trees, a skyscraper gum, and a cell tower in fake tree camouflage. No lights on these courts, so come during the day and make time if you can to enjoy the surrounding park. Visit the namesake live oaks and their shadows on the other side of the basketball court next to the tennis courts. The lower parking lot offers a peaceful panorama of the San Jose Hills.
