Hermon Park, Highland Park

11 well-maintained, lighted courts make this a hub of free public tennis near downtown LA. I included Hermon Park in my LA Times article on the best courts in LA to make friends. You can count on finding a court here or at least not having to wait long. If you do have to wait, it’s in a beautiful setting for bird-watching and tree-bathing.
