Echo Park Rec Center

Six very busy lighted courts, home to one of the most active tennis scenes in LA County. I wrote about Echo Park in my LA Times article on the best courts for making new friends. The folks here really are friendly — and, the place is usually packed. If you want to be sure to get on a court immediately, make a reservation at nearish-by pay-to-play courts Riverside or Vermont Canyon.

Love the people at the courts. They stay busy but have a good rotation if people coming in and out. Lots of friendly faces. Street Parking only.

A Day in the Quest

This vid really captures the exuberance I felt at the start of my quest.

I still feel it. Roaming around LA, taking it all in, groovin' on tennis endorphins? Heck yeah.
