A two-court gem. Top-notch nets, smooth uncracked surface. Great lights for nighttime play. Points off for excess on-court leafiness. Bring a broom. Also, watch out for loose and missing planks on the bench in southeast corner. Otherwise, beautifully landscaped with a bay laurel hedge and towering sweetgum (hence the leaves, which aren’t slippery but do act as a trampoline for tennis balls).

I had a great time playing at Mountain View Park with my new tennis friend Frank, who is originally from Germany. We sat on the sidelines and chatted about our life stories for almost as long as we played. I am really looking forward to playing with him again and then trying out the Alt Beer at Trustworthy Brewery, which he tells me is truly a taste of old Dusseldorf.
